ABOUT SPACEWEATHER GIRL
Space Weather Girl was founded in 2018 by Zena Wood. After eight years of production and performing experience in New York City, Zena founded Space Weather Girl based on her passion for multidisciplinary work, healthy creative working environments and technology themes.

The girl, Zena Wood
Zena Wood has always been fascinated by space and technology. With both a love of the outdoors and the theatrical indoors, Zena’s life as a producer, performer and writer seems like the perfect mix. After studying political science, musical theater and graduating with her MBA in Leadership and Sustainability, she began making documentaries. She has also worked for corporate clients and studios. With many big business clients under her belt, she created Space Weather Girl to further explore her interest in technological themes and media ethics. Zena is excited about many things in life and brings this to her work in various teams and creative collaborations.

CREATIVE PRODUCER
Zena works as a creative producer in New York City and Amsterdam. Some of her past client credits in production include BBC, History, Netflix, Conde Nast Traveler, Warner Bros, We Work, Scentbird, OneFifty, and Sky. In 2020 her original documentary, Will There Be Dancing, was awarded best short at the Cannes Short Film Festival, 2020. The documentary featured NASA scientists and explored creativity within space exploration. In 2022, a feature narrative she produced, The Blacklight, had its theatrical run at AMC Theaters in New York.

production
Zena has earned her stripes in the production and performing world and believes that Space Weather Girl combines production expertise with an exciting vision for a new and changing world.
In New York City she first worked as a First Assistant Director. Thereafter she took up roles as a production coordinator, production manager and unit manager. She then began working as a line producer and creative producer. During this time she completed sketch comedy writing courses at The People's Improv Theatre and has since written her first feature film which is in development.
Her original work deals with the blending of humanities (the arts) and sciences. Zena is constantly researching and exploring ways that these disciplines can interact and inspire each other. The goal is always to question the human condition, inspire and empower people and to further collaborations between humans and our ever expanding technology.
